It's a comic artist's job to guide the reader to the most important focal elements in any given page / panel, and I think Bill Ward does an exemplary job on this "Torchy" page from Doll Man.

Dig these crazy commissions. Beautiful.
Two commissions, both illustrations of scenes from Tillie Walden’s book On A Sunbeam. I had so much fun with these!

Wholeheartedly agree with this. 👍
I think maybe the "Superman, Batman and Robin hang out with pretty girls" stories should be by @paultobin.bsky.social and @colleencoover.bsky.social.

One beautiful aspect of my new house is that there's a certain time of day when sunlight filters down through the skylight to majestically illuminate a traveling stretch of the floor with a shining glow of "here's where you didn't vacuum very well."

It's supposed to reach nearly 100 degrees today and I'm writing in a cafe and I'm legit COLD. They are cranking the HELL out of their air conditioner. I'm going to walk outside and collapse on the sidewalk. If you see me there, either carry me home or flip me over so both sides get grilled.

Imagine if the NYT defended trans people instead of attacking them. Imagine if the NYT refused to platform bigots and insurrectionists. Imagine if the NYT actually covered local New York City politics and news. Imagine if the NYT had a public editor.
Imagine for one second if the NYT marshaled its massive influence towards voter registration, towards supporting voting rights groups, towards encouraging people to vote and fighting people who try to stop people from voting. Imagine if the NYT actually championed participatory democracy.

To me, my X-Men! Today's comic from my collection is this copy of X-Men #1, from September of 1963. First appearance of Prof. X, the Beast, Angel, Magneto, Jean Grey, and Iceman, but unfortunately NOT the first appearance of X-Men HR Offices, so Jean could report basically everyone for harassment.

I swear to god there is a guy here in this cafe explaining to a woman about how there wasn't GRAVITY before Newton "made it up." One of his proofs is "how do you think they made the pyramids?"
