A while ago I had the idea to comment on curators’ oxygen-sucking narcissism with an exhibition of portraits of me from various artists called “Curatorial Conceit”, but I actually already have a bunch that random strangers who wouldn’t call themselves artists did, like this one, should I just do it?
Damn I can’t believe I missed Anton van Dalen’s passing. He was consistently great, but he also made one of my all-time favorite paintings: “Stromboli Pizzaman”, 2011-12

I was reminded of this “community” episode, which I think is my favorite of the series, and it just occurs to me that it’s surprisingly kind to Garrett, who is usually played for laughs. By the end I believe they love each other (uh, incest aside, hah)
I’m so mad at how much better and less expensive the (theoretically identical) screws from this little hardware store are compared to the ones I had to grab from home depot. They should simply not suck this much.
People say bluesky doesn’t have the juice but I saw a post saying the poster (who I’ve not met!) would mail you a 45 he didn’t need that I happened to be listening to on spotify at that very moment.
