After watching @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com on youtu.be/zqQZTieWs9Q?... I dug up my own copy of the Aubrey Beardsley book my dad used to keep between the poetry books he rarely taught from and the gardening books he rarely consulted. I used to find Salome particularly uncomfortable and unforgettable

My next read came yesterday! This very subject long ago started my Art History journey, via my first ever research project for the wonderful Mr. Pease, who was ALSO the first to notice my affinity for drawing and painting. I have much love for this topic and also for Bettany Hughes!

I admit I’m several years late noticing this, but the Saint John’s Bible is finished (I shared a little story from the blog earlier). Explore the pages of this incredible work at this link! saintjohnsbible.org/See/Explore?...

I did this silly thing three times. Two entries were from my dream diary and one was a chunk of fiction. It crosses my mind that it would hardly have said “I write like a 6th grade book report” even if it were true. www.codingrobots.com/iwl/

This week’s reading. I read “A Forest Of Kings” before we went to Mexico in 2010 and it was so fascinating. I wasn’t anticipating this being good background reading for the story I’m writing, but within a chapter I’ve realized that it’s going to give me a lot of ideas.

I dreamt I was on pilgrimage through a rocky landscape like the background of a quattrocento painting. I spent the days trying to talk my mom into reading Sandman. We got caught in the rain and dark along with a group of fellow pilgrims, mostly Fairy Folk but also @neilhimself.neilgaiman.com

As an avid Michael Sheen fan, I started this group to place more focus on the good works that he devotes himself to, and to throw our collective weight behind his to assist with those causes. I’m proud of everyone who has helped get this far! Please share! www.justgiving.com/page/theshee...

A long term project of mine: I was digging a hole to China. They have that saying, so you must be able to do it. It’s there on my personal map of Fairyland, across from the dried stream bed in the silent pinewood, and just south of Grape Island in the big field.

It’s the year of the dragon! Quote-repost with your dragon art. My only dragon, an illustration for a friend’s novel, doesn’t exist anymore. But here’s a page out of a serial story my husband wrote one dull day at work!

This is sad. I remember being a kid and creeping into the Tanglewood pavilion to watch his hair swaying. He was the image of a person caught in the grip of the creative passion; such a strange contrast with my family eating our little tame picnic on the lawn. www.npr.org/sections/dec...

This is always the best policy anyway.
Bluesky is officially “open” now (no more invites). So just a reminder to not engage with trolls and bad actors, there is no algorithm here to promote or spread them, replying to them is what puts them on everybody’s timelines. So block and give no oxygen.

I’m not sure what he was laughing at. It was a perfectly reasonable place to put the tea cosy. I just forgot it was there.
