So about that dental work I've been procrastinating for several years because I was just starting to look for a dentist when Covid happened and then, well, there was always something more urgent. I might have procrastinated too long.

I did that. I am still doing that. We’re making progress but then I keep putting off appointments until I can get my next vaccination because I’m really not comfortable unmasking when fully vaxed let alone between shots.

If you've got a decent dentist and can haul a HEPA filter in and ask them to set it up to run that morning...? (Might help. Couldn't hurt. Our dentist has HEPA filters but doesn't always have them running. 😞 Still, I can turn 'em on!)

Honestly, my dentist is one of the better ones about this stuff. I already make my appointments for first thing in the morning, and they have a HIPAA filter there, and most of the mask correctly. Since it’s not an emergency, I’d rather just wait until I’m vaccinated.

500% fair and I should probably consider getting myself a new vax a couple weeks before my dentist appointment.

And I have been in three or four times since late 2021, it’s not like I’m avoiding it all together. Just. Delaying care whenever I realize an appointment doesn’t play nicely with my vaccination schedule.

Yeah, I shoved things out a few months to try to hit a "it was lower last year around this time" date when I realized levels were high around my original date.

Originally I moved appointment around to account for surges but now since it’s mostly all surge all the time? Sigh. That’s not particularly feasible.

I'm just hoping that "people go outdoors in summer and there's better ventilation" will help lower the risks. Gotta stack the deck!
