The House has 435 members.
Majority (219) Are held by republicans.
Senate has 100. Republicans currently have 49 seats
Let’s say that the centrist blue dogs who are “socially progressive” on domestic issues took over 100 republican seats.
Life would be a lot better.
Just as a note, that was mostly a shitpost. I do think Democrats would be able to get more things done if they had a wider majority like that, but I expect so little from them at this point that I wouldn't be surprised if they floundered and wasted that opportunity somehow, as they have before.
Last time they had super Majority they were very productive but people don’t give them much credit.
They had two members in and out of the hospital who died. 2009-2010. And Lieberman was part of their supermajority. And even Sinema and Manchin both are to his left.
