Office worker by day. Sleeping at night.
100% geek with a splash of dorkiness. Will make references from the 80’s, 90’s and today. Apologies ahead of time.

Um, that’s it for now.

Not even two minutes into this animated Ultraman movie and my mind has already been blown. 1) The animation looks MUCH better than I was expecting. 2) Adrienne Barbeau is in this?!? Wait, she’s Ultrawoman Beth?!?

I like how this day went from “I’m gonna clean up a few shelves” to “I did some heavy cleaning and now have to schedule someone to fix a washing machine. Oh, and now a plumber for a toilet repair.” Sigh, and now I’m finally relaxing with a drink and watching Kamen Rider.

I love how all of my coworkers’ reaction to the Crowdstrike shut down is “aw man, why didn’t it affect us?”

I have a habit of discovering a new series to binge while on vacation. Visited family last year and they got me hooked on Murdoch Mysteries. And I’m still watching it. Just got back visiting friends out of state and now I’m hooked on Psych.

I just read an article that said "Why is it taking so long for your favorite movies and tv series to air? Blame the writers and actor strikes" No I won't. I'm blaming that ✨single✨ motherfucker at the studio who makes $250 million dollars a year who's one job is supposed to make this shit happen.

Oy, you know you’ve been to the same airport one too many times when you notice that the seats have changed.

Post your favorite movie poster of all time. Though any Godzilla poster by Noriyoshi Ohrai is always a winner.

Happy Independence Day. May we take a minute to remember those who bravely fought on July 4th 1996.

Watching ‘Office Space’ for the first time since the VHS era and it is SO MUCH funnier after a few office jobs and life experiences.

Man I hate over preparing and getting anxiety over it. My whole team at work got called into a mandatory “feedback/review meeting” after we had a disagreement with a supervisor. I went in preparing for a huge drag out fight and it ended up being a very chill back-and-forth.

Decided to watch 15 minutes of a random Kamen Rider episode on YouTube while on lunch. And well, damn it. I want to watch more. It’s definitely a show I would have ATE UP as a kid and I could easily see 7-year old me getting in trouble for jumping off ledges and furniture screaming “Rider Kick!”

I’ve been playing ‘Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door’ for the past week and man, I forgot how much I love this series. I can’t remember the last time I found myself generally chuckling at a video game.

My 2nd professional gig in the animation industry was on “Godzilla the Series”. Here are some of the terrified New York populace I designed for the show’s main title sequence. Cheers! #characterdesigner #thomasperkins #godzillatheseries #90scartoons #adelaideproductions #incidentals

I’m a little late to the party but I finally finished X-Men ‘97 and man, I was NOT prepared. It was really damn good.

As a Godzilla fan growing up in the 90s this was 100% a fact. I had no idea Toho was still making new movies until I discovered the G-Fan magazine. And even then I never saw them until like ‘98 or ‘99 when they got official releases.
i hate to have one of these at all but my big "WE DRANK FROM THE HOSE" opinion is that people younger than millennials really can't imagine what coming of age in a time of media scarcity meant - like, I would read about records and movies and not actually be able to see them for YEARS

Happy Father's Day to all! Here's a fun Godzilla commercial that would air throughout the day way back when. It was a treat to randomly see Godzilla on tv back then www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzic...

Oooooooh, so that’s WHY Ultraman Rising was released on Father’s Day weekend!! The movie was much better and more heart warming than I thought it was gonna be.

I’m so glad I rewatched the original X-Men before jumping into ‘97. There’s no quick recap. There’s no exposition. No characters reminiscing. It’s “We’re going to toss into the deep end - you can figure out the rest on your own. Oh, there’s some crazy shit there too. Enjoy!”

people talk about stupid and bad movies and then somebody brings up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990, New Line Cinema) and the tone of the conversation becomes suddenly SEVERE

The adult in me sings “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?” My inner child screams “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!”

I’ve finished my rewatch of the entire 90’s X-Men series and man, the OG series held up so MUCH better than I could ever imagine. I think it’s one of those series that’s better with age. Well, sans a few episodes. And some shoddy animation towards the end. But anyway, it’s finally time to begin…
