I’m sitting at a U-shaped bar rail with about forty seats, writing. I’m the only customer. Then a guy in business clothes comes in, sits right next to me, and immediately starts watching an action movie on his phone at maximum volume, without headphones. WTF?
I’ve seriously considered buying a pack of cheap little headphones to carry with me, so as to be able to hand them out to people who pull crap like that. Happens way more than it should, shows total disregard for other people.
I feel like people who do this /want/ us to notice what they're watching or listening to so we'll think they're cool.
Opposite of me, who never wants anyway to see what I'm watching because it's some weird 4 hour YouTube deep dive on the history of the Spider-Man musical or a Sims Letsplay.
