It’s a very pretty plate but I’m kind meh on the dish. I added some lemon juice which gave it a little more zing 4
It does look amazing! But I suppose I’ll scratch it off my grocery list for today 1
Do you think more spice/peppers along with the citrus would save it? 1
Yes. And I think the parsley and basil I got were kind of shitty. It was all very one note. But I think I can riff on it and make it amazing 2 2
It should be a flavor bomb and it just wasn’t. Also think next time I’d dice the onions, use less olive oil, throw some crushed red pepper in there, more citrus, etc 1 3
Yeah, I’m gonna add some pickled peppers and citrus to punch through the olive oil. And I like the idea of red pepper for the textural element too 1 3
I kind of wish I just had a bowl of crispy gnocchi to snack on like popcorn lol 1 5
Ooooh with some nice salted butter? Maybe a cacio e Pepe gnocchi/popcorn vibe? 1 4
Omg that would be so good. I do have some nice parm… 1 3
It's a shame Trader Joe's sued to eliminate the NLRB because otherwise I'd say their green Gnocchi can provide a decent quick cook accommodation for that 2
Maybe I’ll pull it back on the grocery list but do some peppers that I’ll pickle, and some lemon for brightness 1 1
I also think (just my preference) I’d prefer a mix of roasted and raw tomatoes. The textures were just all a little wonky 2
