A reason I like to travel is that it exposes me to the absolute psychotic behavior of the world. Like:
- wearing leather pants on an 11 hr flight
- ordering a combo of whiskey, tomato juice, & diet coke w breakfast
- 4 adults holding hands & walking slowly in an international airport
Taking students abroad is just speedrunning Perry's developmental scheme:
Days 1-3: OMG they do everything weird and wrong!
Days 4-14: Wait we're the weird ones, everything's better here!
Rest of trip: Oh I see now
