they would turn the corner into such a goofy band so soon but it’s hard to describe how hard and cool this record sounded to very depressed, angry 9-year-old me. still goes honestly
oh 100%. I got into them when the black album came out, then got this one shortly after and I remember how thrilling it sounded. it's still my favorite record of theirs.
was gonna say you should’ve boosted it (corporate music store/price-gouging/youthful chutzpah), but the fact that you were nine puts that to rest (unless you were a Dickensian urchin who lived in the mall); buying it also makes you a very badass nine-yr-old
