I had a visitor to my bird feeder last night. I use the hot pepper seed mix to keep squirrels away, and it works pretty well on bears too. He opened my seed barrel but didn’t even eat any of it, which is a first.
📷Not the best quality shots due to very low light and a high ISO, but these two whitetail gave me one of my best photography experiences ever. 📸🦌

🪶Crows look ominous and spooky until you zoom in enough to see the fuzzy feathers around their beaks, and then you realize they're just goth posers. Taken in Amherst, MA📷

The pair of gray catbirds who always nest in our pine trees have yet to make an appearance this spring, but I'm sure it won't be long now. I captured this one in Easthampton, MA.

It took 3 hours to get to Richmond, VT, and 6.5 hours to get home. But the eclipse was breathtaking, and so worth the time in the car to hear the world go silent around me, like it held its breath. I have hundreds of photos to sort, but this is my favorite so far.

📷Minutes after I took this photo of Miss Sunshine looking all dignified, she ran face-first into a baby porcupine. She's not the sharpest of dogs, but she's one of the prettiest.📸

📷Blue Jays are my favorite. Always have been, always will be. I love their sass, their belligerent attitudes, and their intelligence. I had a pet jay as a kid, and he would fly around my house tormenting our cats and stealing shiny objects. He was the best. 🪶📸
