With two seats going to recounts, the Tories will have no more than 122 MPs, they are at 121 now.* Hopefully that seat goes to Labour, so the Tory loss will be an even 250 seats. *The other seat having a recount is between SNP and the Scottish Liberal Democrats.

How did Reform get given three times more seats in the exit poll than they actually got? The Green Party got twice as many MPs as the exit poll suggested. The Tories got then more in the exit poll and the Lib Dems ten less than the result. It seems the exit poll overestimated right-wing votes.

There is a polling station in the car park of the pub between my bus stop and where I live. There was I queue of voters when I walked past ten minutes ago. Additionally, the pub was doing far better trade than usual for a Thursday.

Here's an idea when it comes to standing for election as an MP: You can only stand for election in a constituency you have been living in* since the last Genetal Election, or two years, whichever is longest. MPs should be an actual representative of their constituency. * Their main residence.

Here's a question I asked four years ago, that is even more relevant this year: What happens if a POTUS candidate dies between the ballot being locked and the election, or the inauguration? From what I've read transfer of power is from POTUS to VP, so it seems there is no plan for this eventuality.

I asked this 4 years ago elsewhere, and I ask again here; What happens if a POTUS candidate dies between when the ballot can't be changed and the election? Does the votes automatically go to the VP candidate, or are they rejected? I was unable to find an answer by searching for one.
