Honestly thought the Times poll would be worse

I think one of the fascinating things about all of this is seeing how people further left have been some of the most clear eyed about acknowledging this, and also giving the administration credit for good things they have done, while being critical on other issues.

Ironically, centrist liberals can be some of the least pragmatic people around simply because they're used to getting what they want.

And the left is used to never getting what they want.

I mean, in very broad strokes, yeah. I think that there is a lot that wouldn't have happened in this admin if it weren't for the coalition that includes the left.

good at compromise because we're constantly turning other people's trash into public health policy solutions

I must be following the wrong lefties then, all I'm seeing is chicken little.

I'm voting for Biden, or Harris, or whoever. I am voting for the current administration. I am voting to protect my family and friends from Project 2025.

I would choose a potted plant, if it came to it.

Has anyone proposed replacing Biden with someone closer to Trump on policy yet? Asking for a friend.

My personal view is that it's more of a vote for the administration that sets about 95% of the agenda, the president themselves probably haven't done much personally some like 6 presidents ago
