Hollaback Girl is such a fun choreography on #JustDance! But I will need some practice, though I’m impressed I improved a lot on picking up choreos, one part because I’m very used to JD with 5 years of playing now, on the other hand I had the greatest dance teacher in 2022 - miss her!

10000% the real miss is all the art we're never going to get from women who were abused right out of their craft. so many of those women won't even create for themselves anymore.

Hot take: I'm truly not interested in hand wringing over how much people will miss enjoying the books of men who have turned out to be abusers. I'm far more concerned about the missing art that women haven't been able to create/publish because they crossed paths with such men.

My last relationship was with a guy who had ADHD and I compensated for it a lot and then I got formally diagnosed myself and suddenly a lot of our clashing issues made more sense except I was still doing a lot of the admin regardless

Patriarchy as scaffolding for ADHD? More common than you might think! Tbh, if you read books aimed at couples where one partner has ADHD, this seems more and more obvious.

Someone theorised on Tumblr that the belief that boys "outgrew" ADHD is because they used to get married right out of high school or college, and had wives and secretaries picking up their slack. I think about that a lot. Esp when one also factors in race and class...

It was a "boys issue" and it was something that you "grew out of." Then we started tracking the development of folks with ADHD and looking at the ways that it presented differently across genders. That was when diagnostic criteria changed to enable more accurate diagnosis.
