I don't post replies about this to people, because they're strangers and I don't really know how to do it without risking being an asshole, but I have noticed more and more people posting while neglecting to do alt text.

Changing it so that the default was to require alt, and you could opt out, would be such a good thing.

Should be changed so you can't post an image without putting alt text on it, for everyone. I know that's a setting you can turn on but it shouldn't be optional.

You know what would be great for the next update? Double tap on the search icon at the bottom that directly selects the search field and opens the keyboard 😬

Single tap stays the same though, so you can still see the suggested accounts. I use search far more than suggested accounts, but I might not be in the majority here.

completely off topic, but would audio posts be a possibility in the future? that's one thing twitter never really did that'd be useful for me, want to share music and stuff

I would love an invisible alt market toggle too. I would still always touch the corner to see if there is alt. But I don’t need the marker.

Would love to see one more option to encourage broader adoption of alt text:
