This is the road that everyone who actually works in Jackson has to take. Ugh ...

Not everyone, lots of folks come up from Star Valley as well.

Came here to say the same thing - no one in the service industry in Jackson can afford to live there.

"No one wants to work anymore ..." they're going to say over the G&Ts they'll have to pour for themselves while trying to figure out how to light the fossil fuel "firepit" on their patios. That whole story is terrifying. Those first cracks?!?

Crap. It's been a VERY LONG TIME since I drove this pass, at the end of an 18 hour long solo trip, and damn near ran into a Moose cow and her two calves coming around a bend at 2AM. I think. Even then, few who worked in Jackson could live there.

Thoughts and prayers for the dozens of people affected

Why would Homeland Security be involved with this?

Global warming is a terrorist plot, I suppose.

It kinda is when you think about it. Corporations with the biggest carbon footprint have morphed into Cobra Commander's wet dream 🤣

It’s just what they call the state emergency management agency. Even at the federal level, FEMA is part of DHS

Thank you. Holy Christ I didn't remember that happening under Bush Jr. No wonder post-Katrina went down like it did.

Have they blamed Pete and Biden yet?

If any of the four Senators representing these states opposed funding for the Francis Scott Key Bridge repairs, or made statements indicating they would, then Biden should allot zero Federal dollars to assist with repairs.

I thought the people who live in Idaho want to be isolated, so this works well for them, right?
