Someone, somewhere, has an actual idea of what sites like this are meant to do, and how the features accomplish this. But I have not met them.
(Why replies and quotes? Not sure! Why are there argument-building and argument-snuffing features in antagonism? Beats me!)
Sites like this should not be expected to turn a profit, that's the main issue imo. Twitter for instance throttled links cause they wanted to keep people there but, honestly, people shouldn't use social media to be stuck on social media. It's just that all these sites are pushed to try & make money
