So here is our mushroom tincture
I started with 10g dried milled mushroom and 100ml 95% ABV spirit and using low radiant heat (around 35c) have slowly evaporated 90% of the alcohol off
Now I’ll slacken back with a few drops of water to get 10ml which will give 1g/ml or 0.1g per drop! 🍄 💚🫶🧚🏻

It's time for #Weed!
My last photos of the red-shouldered hawk chick in our yard, taken June 17 and 19. On June 21, the nest was empty. We have seen what we think is the chick on a couple of occasions (it seemed more clumsy than the adults) and can hear several hawks calling among the trees from time to time. #birds 🌱
They did it! The red-shouldered hawks nesting beside our driveway successfully hatched a chick, despite the female’s youth. The chick’s head seems too heavy for its neck, and when it stretches its stubby little wings it is so cute I can’t stand it. #birds
Like Torpedo said in Bob's Burgers: "Little bit of advise, Bob. If you want a role model, choose an old guy. By the time you're grown up they're dead."
Excited to finally be getting out of the house to travel up the coast! My photography has been suffering a lot since my injury and I'm hoping to get some great new shots soon.
I spent a lot of time in the field. A lot of what I was paid for in Archaeology was shovel bum work. Dig a hole, fill it in, repeat. I loved it though. I miss it and would go back to it in a heartbeat. But I lie here in pain and wonder if it will ever be again. My dream job, yes.
Here's another snow shot from Cape Cod (Truro area), this time I caught a Dove hiding in a thicket. It's a bit busy of a photo with the sheer amount of snowy branches but it's always had that certain something for me. #nature#snowscene#dove
As we head into excruciatingly high summer temps, here's a nice cool winter scene. Taken after a blizzard that dropped a branch on our cabin in Truro Massachusetts.
