As the election draws closer, dems will more desperately begin throwing critical, core constituencies under the bus, alienating one group after another in frantic attempts to woo the imaginary undecided voter.
Turning several bigotry dials back and forth at once, the worst safecrackers.
One day it'll be doubling down on genocide, the next a weirdly second-hand report about a harsh trumpian immigration policy, the next a huge fuck you to trans people, then later that day shooting themselves in the foot with a bizarre anti-abortion statement, etc.
And, while this isn't great, I will get to watch a certain type of person force themselves to internalize all of these while still trying to keep their good person points and going very publicly insane and, if last time was a predictor, strangely homophobic.
