My wife dropped a piece of ham from the upstairs to the downstairs for Tiny Tina and you would think that the god of pork had blessed her. She sat there looking up, waiting for more.

I’m rewatching Lost and I’m continually amazed that for as dirty, grimy, and bloody as everyone gets, they all drink an endless supply of bottles of the cleanest, crystal, clearest cold water I’ve ever seen. The Dharma Initiative supply drops do good work!

I’m still resting at home, doing my best to keep pain controlled and move around. It’s an ongoing challenge. I couldn’t do it without my family helping.

I’ve mostly been asleep since I got home from the hospital. Moving is painfully difficult but possible.

In my bed, Tiny Tina acting as nurse, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire on TV… so glad to be home.

Day 12 in the hospital. Lots of noise on the floor as people visit. Someone brought an 8 month old baby to see great grandma. Welcome to Germville, poor kid. Another family all came in together to sing and party and picnic. I can tell the nurses are sick of it all. We keep shutting my door.

Tiny little gachapon PlayStations with wee little discs. All together now, "Aww... 😍"

Turns out the intense pain of the past 36 hours was solved by standing up through the agony and letting my muscles reset. Very much a “turn it off and back on” solution. Still hurts from the constant pain but should fade now.

Day 11 in the hospital. I reached one set of goalposts only for the other to move. I’m in excruciating pain again so we are trying to control that, and then I can go home.

I’m at this stage of the hospital visit: “Hi, I’m Dr. Dropin from the Department of Medicalology and you’ll never see me again, but I’m ordering lots of painful tests to be sure your toenails still grow. We have to be sure. Ok, bye!”

My mother is staying at my house while I’m in the hospital and has discovered why you need a strong work ethic to work from home at my place. #cats
