Beyond his obvious problems, Biden is the worst possible person to be President in this historical moment. He doesn't speak about Supreme Court corruption because he's a supposed "institutionalist," he convened a "commission" which came to nothing, he has absolutely no fire to rally the country, etc
This is one of my theories for why the old guard is clinging so hard to positions of power: the necessity of the past quarter century+ has moved younger voices in the party to question/critique their nostalgic non-negotiables. They are fighting for the past, not our future.
I agree. I think his “aw shucks I’m just a decent guy” schtick, even if it was a useful foil to trump in 2020, is miles away from the “hell no you won’t bend our institutions to your sick purposes” leader we need right now
