This is such a strange dynamic. GOP members of congress have been giving anonymous quotes about getting threats inspired by Trump for years. Are they willing to go on the record now because it's Jordan?
Rep. Drew FERGUSON says he received death threats after voting against Jordan in the second round

I didn't post this one yesterday, because it felt less sincere and more like posturing, but for that reason it's interesting to include in the analysis

Or maybe they finally feel enough is enough?

my read on that is they do not view Jordan as an avatar for Trump's will at this point, so he's fair game

Trump’s too busy being in about eight different trials in four different jurisdictions to do anything on Jordan’s behalf. If he even cared to.
Seems most likely, yeah. Criticism of Jordan won't automatically generate a primary candidate.

My guess is that they think the threats related to Jordan come from people close to his camp and that the public doesn't care, while complaining about Trump related threats would just inspire more from random MAGAs?

My guess is they're not as afraid of Jordan as they are of Trump.

I will never understand how any Republican with a shred of humanity can stay a Republican after all this shit. When your own party and voter base are actively threatening the lives of you and yours and it shakes you up enough to speak up, maybe it's time to stop being a Republican.

It feels personal. When you add in the plan by a group of Republicans to slowly have Jordan lose more votes with each round it just feels like political revenge from people who, understandably, don't like him. People on both sides of the aisle want him gone from congress. He isn't a team player.

Courage sometimes is expressed in baby steps for those unused to it.

Trump was able to call out an insurrectionist mob. I don’t think Jordan has that kind of pull. So less a threat of actually inspiring an assassin.

Maybe what is going on with Trump right now makes them feel safer that they can speak up?

It's because the violence is happening to them now and notto other people or ‘the democats”

Nobody is actually scared of Jordan following through, but they know Trump is backed by Putin and don't want a Russian flying lesson

Jordan doesn't nearly have the personal sway over the whole party that Trump does.

Yup. It’s so weird. If Jordan had one on tv and spoken veiled threats that wouldn’t have bothered them maybe? Why do we (people in general) only object to bad behavior when it’s behind closed doors?
