I had no health insurance for a decade, before the ACA.
You can't imagine what that life is like, if you've never lived it. Choosing between meds or power, meds or phone.
Don't ever tell me the ACA wasn't a big deal or didn't accomplish anything.
It used to be, if you got diagnosed with something, then lost your insurance, you couldn't be insured again.

I'm glad folks don't remember. I'm glad this is ancient history. But there's a *reason* it was a big deal.
