weird that a guy who said incredibly racist stuff would run a racist campaign unless you consider the possibility that “it’s racism”

George Will was among those leading the parade at the time, saying people who thought it was racist were imagining things. I had a professor (biz school, of all things) who grew up in Mississippi who said it was obviously racist.
