Fantastic point here on what an Avengers movie could’ve done for the this stage of the MCU from @richardlnewby.bsky.social. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...

Most people whiff on the nuance and details when talking about Marvel Studios and the state of the MCU. @richardlnewby.bsky.social is one of the few people who I will listen to because he gets the nuance (and just gets the genre, industry, and so much more) www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
Why the Age of Marvel Is Not Quite Overwww.hollywoodreporter.com After bombing with ‘The Marvels’ and releasing a glut of projects in recent years, there is still hope for the studio to push through the wreckage.

So proud to be an EP on The Batu Project: Adam the First. It’s a work of passion from a talented group of artists who are making history with Ghana’s first science fiction feature. Check out the interview with director M Sayibu and first teaser trailer: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
‘The Batu Project: Adam the First’ Teaser Turns Ghana Into an Alien Landscapewww.hollywoodreporter.com The feature used very little green screen, but instead relied on the country's landscapes as its most important visual effect.

Thought this was a blast! Kiernan Shipka was excellent. I hope this gets a physical release.

Extremely my shit. Lionsgate really dropped the ball on the release of this one. Great atmosphere. Perfect movie for the Halloween season.

Been thinking a lot lately about the serialized nature of decades-old comic book characters and whether the lack of a finite nature best serves the characters. @insomniacgames’s Spider-Man shakes up the status quo, reckoning with time, mortality, and letting go. #SpiderMan2

Honestly? It rips. Vast improvement over the first. Still a showcase for some truly great practical effects, but the scope, mythology, and character work in this one really pull it together. Lauren LaVera is great. Did not make me feel like I needed to barf though. I ate nachos.

A lot more fun that I thought it would be given it’s reputation. Deeply unserious and yet…I’d watch a legacy sequel in a heartbeat. Let the UFOs try again. Bring the survivors back and mix in some new blood.

Loved this! Incredible work by Dick Smith. Burgess Meredith is always such a joy to watch. On Netflix, if you can believe they have something pre-1980s now.

New Fangoria featuring plenty of #TheExorcistBeliever coverage from yours truly! And what I consider to be my Fango opus (for now!): “Exhuming God Through the Exorcist Franchise.” Shout-out to editor @scottwampler.bsky.social , and @jasonkauz.bsky.social whose layouts always bring these home.

This whips ass! Bravo to Duffield for making Greys scary again. Also, one of the most surprisingly chilling final beats this side of Ari Aster. #NoOneWillSaveYou 👽

This is a hidden gem right here. 1. This escalated to full Florida very quickly. 2. More movies should be set around shitty amusement parks. 3. James Spader just had IT from the moment he arrived on the scene. No learning curve. Just entered Hollywood as fully formed Spader.

Thought this was great! Prefer it to Deliverance. It’s perhaps less sensational but it feels meaner, more rooted in the idea of unconquerable wild and the unfixable nature of man. And boy, Hal Holbrook just had something so magnetic.

Yooo!! #BlueBeetle  is legit! Honestly surprised how well it hits. Very charming. Feels like a real love letter to Latino culture + DC Comics. Some familiar plot beats but made unique through the fresh perspective. Hope folks support and hope Gunn does right and gives it a sequel.
