I ordered some burlesque costume elements the day before I found out I'll basically never work in this town again and they showed up yesterday and I'm sad now
The point of being semi retired was that I didn't want to travel to do shows anymore, but now I'll have to drive at least an hour if I want to keep performing because my town has suddenly become terrified of it. It's... not a good omen.
At least I found out that it's not singularly my fault why every former burlesque venue closed their doors to us. That's a bit less stress for me as an individual person. No one in the community has it out for me.
I was legit looking up how much it cost to buy a vacant lot and a heavy duty tent to create my own venue. Honestly, for $8k I could do it, but I don't have the time or money.
