please drink some coffee before attempting to make blueberry muffins for breakfast
I have done this! But even worse, once I forgot *sugar*. That’s one you really can’t put in at the end.
Ooof. Yeah, that’s a dealbreaker.
I tried! I squeezed the batter out of the muffin papers and back into the bowl and put the sugar in, but it did not work well.
It's such a disappointment!
I know someone who put salt instead of sugar in a cake. The result was terrifying. It didn't even cake.
It's been decades and I still remember the sludgy horror. It was done by a pro baker, too. I suspect they also remember it.

What I would do in the circumstance is break out the jam and shove a spoonful in the middle and then shove that in the oven. You would not get blueberry muffins, but you get something tasty anyway.

As I said to my wife, it’s a convenient that I’m a lesbian, because I poked them in and gave them a little swirl with my fingers
I mean, at least you remembered the blueberries *before* they went into the oven... and it was an ingredient that's supposed to be added last anyway.
