I went, did 18 minutes on the short course and it was lovely. Long term fatigue outcomes are yet to be seen but feeling short term positive effects on disassociation and anhedonia.
And like an optimistic fool, I have booked swimming tomorrow. If I wake up tomorrow and I'm not up to it I need to cancel it immediately or I will be fined (I have a subsidised membership so it's free if I go).

Not feeling great but it's too late to cancel without a fine now. I'll go even if all I do is look at the water.

Does anyone have connections with fashion/textiles conservators? I'm looking to help out a student with dissertation research. Thanks in advance for any leads/reposting into the appropriate lists.

AI company: we trained this dog to talk. It doesn’t actually understand language, but it kinda sounds like it’s having a conversation by mimicking the sound of human speech. CEO: awesome, I’ve fired my entire staff, how quickly can it start diagnosing medical disorders

5/5 Anyway. I have written. I have some text should you want it, feel free to hit me or any of your friends up. Remember, if one person isn't free then none of us are free.

Finally booked for a prom. Gosh those are a lot of extras you have to opt out of. And I'm sorry, I love the venue, but the rest of the year you put on boxing and Titanic screenings at £50 a pop, I think other restoration funds are more needy.

I had to print out many copies of legal documents today, with the extraordinary detail that I need to sign them with a blue pen.

Devizes and its environs is one of those places on the corner of at least three OS orange maps. Luckily I have one already. From when I stayed near Frome, also near the border between 3 maps.

Been a while since I plugged this, but calling all cryptic fans and wanna be fans: a reminder that I'm hosting a cryptic crossword club and pub solve along in Peckham, at The Montpelier pub, SE15 on July 23rd at 1830. Perfect for even the mildly cryptic curious.

Gentle sigh of thanks. I had a fatigue crash yesterday afternoon and was worried I wouldn't manage work at all today, never mind being in the office. Relief that I felt much better later on. I'm tired today but not non-functional. Luckily transport was unbusy today for reasons I think we all know!

I am no England fan but I am so bored with 'the other team is Vladimir Putin, Pol Pot and the devil but they're playing England so I'll be cheering for them'.

Bit of a rollercoaster the last couple of days. Mr S hospitalised yesterday, unconscious after being surprisingly articulate and active. He is back to 'normal' now but I realise the care home suspected this theconversation.com/terminal-luc...

Really interesting talk from a colleague today. Some of it was really detailed and specialist but we were all transfixed (and occasionally a bit grossed out). Colleague and I both thinking how enthusiasm alone can transform a talk.

I was dozing while this was playing. Started awake because I was dreaming that someone called my name. It is actually possible that it was Christopher Plummer.

I'm not proud of this but every time someone posts in a long Covid group 'It all started with Omicron in 2021' I think 'Ancestral Wuhan virus or nothing!'. The fact that my LC is likely to be worse because of this badge of honour may be related.

I'm off sick and should be resting but I've received notification of a financial reassessment for Mr S. His client contribution comes out of his private pension pot, as does payment for extra care visits from his at-home carer. But the latter is just considered a nice to have by his care assessment.
