Getting out the vote is important but tbh, winning this election won't save us. Jan 6 was the precursor and now they have perfected the technique and will NEVER cede the WH. It's heretical at this point, but I think he should resign and give Harris, Newsom, Nancy, Hillary et al a chance to plan.

That's my first reaction when I read just about anything these days. Recent publicity about the new leadership at WaPo hasn't been that great, either. Another thought was, what sort of a person would he be to not consider pulling out as an option. So hard to know what to believe these days.

One problem could be that he had to solicit some states to have his name added to the ballot because the convention will be held later than their date for submitting the nomination. That will make substituting harder if any paperwork has been completed.

I get that. I am 💯 Biden. Instead of deserting him, they need to put the bug in his ear that this is war.

He has already promised to be "nice", including not pardoning his son, which I'll bet amuses them mightily. Biden et al has 4 months to neutralize them, how I don't know. One hopes that the Dems come up with a plan bc in 4 months they might be under arrest or deported, regardless of the election.

I do not believe even in his prime Joe Biden was temperamentally suited for this kind of battle. He is an institutionalist who prides himself on respecting those guardrails. He is Neville Chamberlain-a competent administrator and back room negotiator-when we need Winston Churchill.

I have generally appreciated his calm, reasonable negotiating skills but thus is different. Most have no idea what the Heritage Foundatio or the threat that they pose; much ess watched the infamous "bloodless" speech.

You could very well be right. You do make a good point about his character. That is why we love him. But if he could imagine that we are Ukraine, and we are facing Russia, we know what he is capable of.

I'm not sure he's his own best messenger anymore. Time to put some under-50 Democrats out there evweywhere to show support & spread that message. Voters think he is too old so maybe hearing from someone in their prime they can relate better to would be more effective. Make it about more than Joe

Recall the day after the debate at the rally. Everyone said, there’s the Joe we know and love. Should have gone with that energy. What if it’s just too late to change? Only four months to go.

Time will tell. But if we are relying on old norms to carry the day here, we *will* lose.
