I joked about this but having reread it I forgot how utterly fantastic this book is. Incredible writing from Wood, his characters are rich and well developed. Burchielli's art captures the chaos and degredation of the people and their lives so powerfully.

Had a nice meal and a catch up after work tonight with a friend but have ended up 203 calories over my daily limit. So of course I will now throw the entire health plan into the sea and give up on everything and just await death.

I woke up an hour early and I could be productive but no I'm going to lie here and hate the sun.

I thought I hated working under capitalism but now that I don't I have discovered I really just don't want to work at all.

I had a weird relationship with Mormons while I lived in Perth. I owed a comic/board game shop in the city and Perth had a Mormon church which was popular with kids coming on their mission. As shop was open late into the night every night and didn't serve alcohol, they started hanging out there.

Effort to eat fish continues and I made mackerel pate this afternoon as a way of eating oily fish. Breakfasts, lunches, and other snacks based on this diet restriction are easy but main meals that don't feature potatoes, rice, or pasta are getting harder to think up.

I fucking hate how everything is a subscription service now. Just got the notification that my MS Office subscription is due. I don't use my personal laptop enough as it is but I use OneDrive and Authenticator on my phone all the time but on their own they're not worth the £80.

The enormity of being on a calorie restricted anti-diabetic diet has become all too real as I really want some Haribo.
