I got to attend the Fist of the North Star 40th Anniversary exhibition on display at the Hyogo Prefecture Museum of Art right now. All I can say is wow, wowowowowowwowowowowowowow. Being able to see so many Tetsuo Hara originals was incredible.

Planning destinations for a week in Osaka. So far I have arcades to get my butt kicked at fighting games, gay bars to check out on the weekend, the Fist of the North Star 40th exhibition, and a Kobe steakhouse. Obviously I'll take a trip to Denden Town and Mandarake, but what else am I missing?

Went to Trans March yesterday, and it was absolutely fantastic. Had a great time, and it was wonderful being surrounded by a sea of trans people and allies. But now today I'm feeling drop like nothing else, which is probably my brain screaming, "transition full time already!!!"

While I'm still not where I'd like to be with my transition, when I put my hair on, do my makeup, and put something cute on, I feel a genuine transformation into the real me. It's a kind of release or sigh or exhale that just makes everything feel right and good.

Comic stores were an integral part of English manga growing in the market. Very early Viz actively sought out market shares in comic stores, and were very hungry for an exclusive contract with Diamond (as it was consolidating distribution). It's a tale that deserves to be told by the history books.

Going to see the Fist of the North Star 40th anniversary exhibit, and unexpectedly, a Yasuhiko Yoshikazu exhibit at the same museum in a couple weeks. Gonna be a heck-of-a museum trip.

Why are you LGBTQ+, correct answers only Something felt off for about 20 years, and no matter how hard I came up with alternate reasons or solutions, it felt like I was out of place. Then I admitted who I am to myself, started transitioning, and boom, everything made sense.

Why are you LGBTQ+, correct answers only I was an anime fan in the early '90s, and seeing shows like Ranma and Birdy the Mighty spoke to me, basically. I ended up closeted after an incident I'm still in therapy for, and finally transitioned after getting help following a failed suicide attempt.
