I live right outside of Chattanooga. The last time it happened the local politicians rallied their McCarthyism wagons and scared the locals into voting no. I'm glad they won this time. Not much good happens in my state, but this makes me happy.

What's been blooming the past decade has been what I realize what was absent in my childhood- we never talked about unions at the dinner table. My dad is from Detroit and grew up with UAW contract expiration being wall-to-wall news, but I really just took anti-union narratives in through osmosis.
