Its not common, only a few hundred a year iirc and almost all are 16+. Theres a ton of gatekeeping short of like super wealthy and supportive parents bypassing some of that stuff but its not the norm at all

I don't know what's worse-- the Times for turning this nothingburger into a "Biden doesn't support trans people" narrative or the trans activists who took that narrative and ran with it, knowing full well that GA surgery for minors is Not Standard
