People keep referencing guillotines & gallows, but the American response to this situation has tended to range from "mob justice" to "mail bombs" For these reasons, past generations of US elites have sought to preserve at least the *illusion* of a fair system of laws. But the mask is fully off now.

What happens to societies when all legitimate, peaceful means of political accountability are rendered impotent?

Shifting gears back into creative mode this morning. I don't even want to tell you how many font combinations I went through. 😆 We'll be announcing the launch of the 2024 gallery soon. First original is back from the frame shop, and it is a heavy hitter! (Clue in today's post what it will be 😉)

Side project this week: digitally archiving the contents of WORKS OF WONDER. I scanned the book years ago but OCR is so much better now. I'll eventually put the whole thing into ebook format like WONDERWORKS...and maybe someday I'll actually do something with them!

The first piece in the 2024 Leftover & Palette Gremlin gallery project is at the framers now. We'll be announcing the start of the gallery via email and will tease the schedule here before it drops. I would expect that in the next few weeks.

Bug or feature? Given the behavior of tech giants in the age of GAI the answer should be obvious to all.

Folks do not like to acknowledge it, but the reality is you have no first amendment right if the police are allowed to arrest you when you have broken no law, and are assembling in the effort to petition power for a redress of grievance. All the rhetorical trickery aside, it comes down to that.

It's been such a strange week of ups and downs. My level of distraction is clearly showing. 🫣

It seems obvious but anyone managing social media for a notable figure will have access to the account. 💡 I publicly reply from my own account when I need to clarify who is speaking but always DM from Michael's account (rarely cold contact, usually in response to a DM) and sign with name and email.

General rule of thumb: if you get DM'd by anyone claiming to be part of a notable person's social media management team or their agent or any entity closely connected to the notable person in question, you're being scammed. I mean, ask yourself: why would this person be reaching out to ME?
