He surely wasn't the only one to "teach" that, was he? While I can't think of other comics artists (who were great at drawing evironmental fx) I think of how Disney studios would teach their artists to properly draw. It, of course, required lots of studying. "Pinocchio" is one of the early results
Oh. Before I forget, was it Crane or another who was a really great comics artist and could draw anything well except for horses and cows?
I've never been up and well-read on adventure comics/ the artists.
