NASA will not set a return date for Boeing Starliner until the testing of the thruster failure is complete. (This honestly makes sense because the “Starliner’s return is delayed AGAIN” makes for terrible headlines)

I'm as frustrated at Boeing as anyone, but the thruster is on the service module and they lose all data on re-entry.

Yeah in this case I really do understand, they need this info for certification. My frustration has mostly been with the lack of communication

I heard an NPR story almost 2 weeks ago and a Boeing rep discussed the issue. I'm not plugged into their official comms.
