NASA will not set a return date for Boeing Starliner until the testing of the thruster failure is complete. (This honestly makes sense because the “Starliner’s return is delayed AGAIN” makes for terrible headlines)

I'm as frustrated at Boeing as anyone, but the thruster is on the service module and they lose all data on re-entry.

Yeah in this case I really do understand, they need this info for certification. My frustration has mostly been with the lack of communication

I heard an NPR story almost 2 weeks ago and a Boeing rep discussed the issue. I'm not plugged into their official comms.

Is there a limit to their stay capacity eg a time at which they must leave via Soyuz or something else?

There was previously a 45 day limit on Starliner’s batteries but they’ve run tests in them in orbit and realized the batteries are doing fine—so basically no!

😬 if it’s anything like the batteries in my phone… all good until you need it! 🪫

I think this emoji 😬 should be made the official one for this mission 😬😬😬

I know space is hard, but has Boeing just been making it harder than it needs to be?
