I used to do lights for her in Northampton. For a few years, I was the ME at a deathtrap called the Pearl Street Nightclub - and she was always one of the best performers. Her and George Clinton were my favorite people to work with.
Some people just want every night to be a SHOW, and they want to work with people who want the same thing. She worked her ass off all night, busted ass on stage, and then she'd either hang out and drink with the crowd or the crew.
