Just finished The Grace Year by Kim Liggett. If I still taught K12 and had the right class, this might be one of my few class novels. Finished in 2 days. For me, it reads as a parable for how we treat young women in US society. 💙📚

I read The Marriage Code by Brooke Burroughs years ago (I think that was the book anyway) and the description of gulab jamun kept it on my radar for when I had the chance to try it myself. Liked it. I didn't have the familial connection that the protagonist had, but I enjoyed it. 💙 📚

I made a margarita cake with strawberry-lime (& tequila) frosting. Vanilla batter with tequila, triple sec, and lime. Dense and delicious.

I want all your favorite “alcohol as an ingredient” dishes please! I’m not a drinker but I want to play with some drinks. I’ll make the ones that I have the best use for what’s left after.

I need to make limoncello again.

I sure hope so.
