I am from the south so naturally I will respond to northerners encountering what are for me normal summer temperatures with the same sympathy they reserve for us when ice storms hit. J/k I actually feel bad for them because they don't have the means to deal with it. Like we don't with ice and snow.

Spicy Take, but “lol the South can’t handle snow” is continual high-key stereotyping of all Southerners as ignorant because most of the rest of the US had snow, so surely Atlanta gets just as much!

Yuuup. The transplants learn real quick that it just hits different down here, literally. When it hits the ground is still warm, so it melts, *then* freezes. They can drive on snow, sure. But what they get is ice, and winter comes for them.
