The argument against regulation is always the same: “It stifles growth and jobs.”
But just as tax cuts for corporations have not trickled down, regulatory cuts have not benefited most people.
Big companies enjoy bigger profits. Working people bear the costs.
Biden is not owed good press by a long shot. But the amount of coverage his age is receiving relative to that of Trump's very real past and promised future actions strikes me as one of the greatest media mis-prioritizations since the run-up to the Iraq War.
I agree with the point that the sheet volume of Biden coverage from
some big outlets - particularly compared to their coverage of MAGA authoritarianism - is out of wack but this column also ignores a whole lot of reality.

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. Crazy-making shit.
