I like the fact that it was bipartisan--because everybody loves birbs.

Realistically that bit was because the hunting lobby is all in on waterfowl conservation. And I’m fine with that! Waterfowl are the one group of birds NOT declining as a result.

Yup, they’re in decline here too.

I saw a mini-report on a nature programme that one of the things reducing insects in the UK is that pet tick/flea treatments (insecticides) are getting into the water. Then the water insecticide is impacting water insects. But that’s only one aspect.

It's part of it, in the Netherlands we have lack of diversity with plants and flowers because of the farmers. I also believe round up is a killer.

I think the cicada broods helped this year
