So the 85+ year old in my church who has gone through jim crow & chemo made a point of asking me what my name was now because he wanted to make sure he called me the right thing, so that was a bit of nice this morning.
The bigots will lose
This is why I don’t believe that not understanding trans people is a generational thing. My 83-year-old parents completely accept my trans son and call him by the right pronouns.

i firmly believe that the majority of people just need to spend some time around a trans person in their community and they'll realize very quickly that we are just normal people deserving of support
