NASA will not set a return date for Boeing Starliner until the testing of the thruster failure is complete. (This honestly makes sense because the “Starliner’s return is delayed AGAIN” makes for terrible headlines)

Is there a limit to their stay capacity eg a time at which they must leave via Soyuz or something else?

There was previously a 45 day limit on Starliner’s batteries but they’ve run tests in them in orbit and realized the batteries are doing fine—so basically no!
