Man I saw Tori play two handed, eyes closed, & singing and it was just…. Wow. Beyond wow. Think that was Los Angeles back in like… 1998ish. They did Raspberry Swirl on an oil drum.
Yup. I remember it was a VERY small show, and when she came on stage the entire audience (~ 200?) just.... stood up, and went silent. Dead silent, all eyes on stage, no jeering, no calls, just... waiting for her to begin. It was a surreal experience.
That was also the show where I met a tiny pink-haired punk girl named Christina who was wearing an oversized t-shirt that said "I'M SUCH AN ASSHOLE" across it -- and she ended up being one of the nicest random strangers I've ever met. We chatted for like two hours.
