Wow. @nytimes.com has closed their Threads account and left the platform after days of getting just shredded in the replies for their handling of Biden post debate. Now they're getting dog piled on Instagram for running from Threads.

Am I cooler than the least cool thing imaginable? Yeah, probably.

If this resonates with you as an expert in your field, please feel free to hit me up on how to pitch an op-ed to MSNBC dot com
Where are the columnists who are experts in specific fields, breaking down what the Heritage Foundation + Trump want to do to each individual federal agency? E.g. I read the section dedicated to our intelligence agencies, and had to stop, since I was starting to feel a little nauseous.

genuinely hopeful sign that every big name GOP garbage monster is frantically trying to distance themselves from Project Say The Quiet Part Loud In an Easily-Digestible Bullet Point Format About Which There Can Be No Confusion. this means we should all absolutely continue never shutting up about it

Just a reminder that Michelle Wolf nailed it at the White House Correspondents Dinner. NYT, I’m looking in your direction especially.

If Dante wrote Euphoria you'd have to read two articles about the black and the white Guelphs just to get from there to 6:16 in L.A.
If you tried to read Dante's The Inferno and found it difficult, just imagine trying to explain Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" to someone 700 years from now because it's mostly just that

Would be extremely funny if NYT's approval rating was the only one to take a hit from the Biden coverage

one of the most dishonest things people in my profession do is pretend as if “the story” and “the narrative” isn’t something they have direct control over

yes, we boiled the planet, but it was worth it to make a machine that, instead of adding two plus two, takes the statistical average of every answer to questions containing "what" "is" "two" and "plus" from a database of illegal cell phone transcripts and returns a fake nude pic of a high schooler

This is particularly important to understand because Trumpist authoritarianism is the descendent of Jim Crow far more than say Hitler or Pinochet or Orban, and it's going to look a lot more like 1930s Mississippi than 1930s Berlin.
For most of its history, America hasn’t been a democracy, by any meaningful definition of the term! This isn’t some It Can’t Happen Here shit, in a way, it’s already happened. It just may not have directly affected you.

"Balance" means printing the lies republicans tell about democrats *and* the lies republicans tell about republicans
Former president Donald Trump sought Friday to distance himself from a conservative think tank’s plan, known as Project 2025, for the next Republican presidency, as Democrats work to make it a political vulnerability for Trump in the November election.

Again, this is because... Biden is old?
Look at this link at the bottom of the New York Times' "Don't vote" opinion piece. They didn't run this as a one-off. They're trying to turn non-voting into a thing. Repugnant.

I wish more people were pointing this out to voters in Montana. (Maybe there are some people doing it out there? Let me know.) Public lands access is one of the few things that has cross-party support with voters (rich politicians? welll...) We also have a significant % of Native American voters.
No one has written about this (I will) but Project 2025 will destroy federal lands as we know it as well as any progress towards recognizing Native peoples.

I searched the New York Times for "Trump"

It's not because of deportations, or detentions, or bombings, or weapons sales, or relentless dehumanization of peoples marked as undesirable. No, it's because he won't call these guys on their birthdays that *I* can't bring myself to vote for the lesser of two evils. I've finally found my lane.

Good thing they didn’t build the original wording into the illustration.

It's pretty interesting what the media decides is front page news and what they don't decide is front page news! Trump being a child sex abuser with close connections to Jeffrey Epstein somehow doesn't merit the same coverage as "unnamed Dem insider has concerns about Biden's age"
I saw this was trending and had to google it "The post alleges that Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for this year's presidential election, "forced" young girls to "perform lesbian sex acts."
Donald Trump, Katie Johnson allegations: Everything we knowwww.newsweek.com Allegations from a lawsuit that was dismissed in 2016 are circulating on social media.

I know this is a boring point to make but it fucking kills me that one side is saying "we'll bring back 12 hour days, child labor, and Jim Crow" and the other side is saying "you can continue to grill on Sundays with your neighbors, who might look different to you" and it's a 50/50 split
This is your enemy. His pinned post is unhinged racist trash, but he is serious about the agenda
