I cannot recommend private equity backed mergers. The company that bought us appears to have no idea what they’re doing. It’s been over a month and I’m not sure what my job is or what to do. Startups almost never succeed. The ones that do almost never make anyone rich.

Wanna know what's an incredible national security risk? A bankrupted man with access to classified information. (And after he secures the nomination, he'll once again get top secret daily national security briefings.)

Reading comments create of the Waymo car that was burned really gives you a unique perspective on establishing a narrative and how the tech press is so important doing it. Nobody in San Francisco is getting angry about self driving cars enough to burn them. 1/

Another of my few remaining yearly low-key chaotic but safe rituals Bay Area was completely ruined last night by the usual gang of live-streaming assholes. Start a two-alarm fire, destroy a million dollar thing and turn up the heat exponentially is so edgy, especially when you livestream it

In case you were wondering what right-wingers are fundamentally afraid of, it’s easy: one person, one vote. This “ironically funny” list of GOP planks was sent by a hard right winger in our rural NV neighborhood.

@jay.bsky.team , @bsky.app @pfrazee.com , congratulations. This app and platform have been pretty solid for such a young product. It’s a complex thing, what you’re building, and your emphasis on quality throughout shows. Thank you for giving us a great place to be together!

To put it another way, this guy has more guaranteed benefits than your average tech worker 20 miles north. He won’t be as well off, but he doesn’t have to worry constantly, either. Because Unions work.

Kind of important stuff here. Boeing makes the biggest, most complex (physically) things this country knows how to design. Software industry has this problem too. It’s ongoing. It’s corrosive.
Richard Aboulafia really knows the aerospace business. He says that several waves of accounting/ finance—minded "leaders" are en route to destroying what had been proudest symbol of US tech/manufacturing excellence. aviationweek.com/aerospace/ma...

Sometimes we get a nice interlude during winter. The snow retreats, the roads dry, the gravel is brushed away, and it’s time to take the M5 out.

Both stunned and pleased that Car and Driver has gone to six bigger, better, more interesting issues per year. I am a big fan of things that are worth the wait, and more great work half as often sounds like a fair deal to me.
