Man… Deja Vu is one of the few movies I have ever tapped out on. It’s like Camille Keaton lost all acting ability and Zarchi simultaneously lost the ability to write or direct.
I was just amazed how it just totally failed to work on every level.
It’s one positive is that it made me appreciate the accomplishments of the remake series more.
It would have been much more fun to see Camille in a role like ISOYG 3, leading a support group bent on vengeance.
I agree, I actually think the remake and its sequels are all pretty decent films. They are relentlessly grim films, so I can see why it's such a polarising franchise. And aye! 3 is the most fun and that is a great idea! Much better than what they end up doing with her!
Yeah, I was genuinely surprised by the remake series. As someone who is always weary of such projects, they pulled off a difficult task… especially considering when they got made.
