Local crime never features on the main page of the NYT. But now that Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe watches are being targeted… Violent crime is a traumatic episode regardless of the price of one’s watch and this coverage is remarkably oblivious of its tone.

Income inequality mentioned once. Near record corporate profits never mentioned. Who is gaining from high interest rates and debt restructuring? Not a peep. How voters are manipulated to blame it all on migrants and protestors. Nada.

Just stating the facts. It’s far past time for handwringing and time for activism. Get the vote out. Protect the vote. Do whatever is needed to protect democracy.

It’s hard to have any policy conversation when one side lacks all sense of seriousness or a connection to reality. This is Jim Jordan as a committee chairman to Tom Cole, chair of appropriations. Literally every sentence in here is false or a distortion of the truth.
