Skeeting at @older.bsky.social about how much I enjoy the Mimicking of Known Successes. Others should know that the Jovian scifi, speculative academia, mystery, and characters work together so that I puzzled and thought, cackled audibly as the plot snapped together, and melt for the protagonists.

Also, less than half a chapter of the audiobook was enough to hook my teen. Lindsay Dorcus’ narration brings the characters to life in pace, tone, and accent.

Looking forward to more investigations of Mossa and Pleiti. Cozy adventure feels particularly good right now.

100% agreed. The audiobook was a marvelous way to experience the story.

I know that authors don’t always have much sway over this, but definitely hoping that Dorcus continues as the narrator for the whole series. I find a shift in narrator jarring in general, and I love the voice work being done for Mossa and Pleiti.
