Skeeting at @older.bsky.social about how much I enjoy the Mimicking of Known Successes. Others should know that the Jovian scifi, speculative academia, mystery, and characters work together so that I puzzled and thought, cackled audibly as the plot snapped together, and melt for the protagonists.
Also, less than half a chapter of the audiobook was enough to hook my teen. Lindsay Dorcus’ narration brings the characters to life in pace, tone, and accent.
I know that authors don’t always have much sway over this, but definitely hoping that Dorcus continues as the narrator for the whole series.
I find a shift in narrator jarring in general, and I love the voice work being done for Mossa and Pleiti.
